Vernon in Marauder's Sea is named after a famous pirate. Wild mountains, river deltas, folklore, and inland play.

Folklore

Vernon was a famous pirate who wintered here when the tropics got too crowded with warrants. He hid prizes in the high lakes and ran the southern swamp-delta when a navy came looking. The name stuck the way a good lie sticks: loud, simple, and still on the chart.

How to play it

This is a land-heavy hunt. Rivers and lakes cut the interior into pockets — Defense Posts and Cities matter as much as ships. Use the flanking islet chains to sneak a navy around players who only stare at the snow peaks.
