Trader Ship

Trader ships in Marauder's Sea sail between ports for gold. Capture them with warships; mines ignore them.

Folklore

White canvas and a stencil of barrels — the honest lie of the sea. A Trader Ship is not a prize until a Warship makes her one. Ports keep sending them because gold does not swim by itself.

Ledger

Hit points
Not a fighting hull. Warships usually capture her instead of pounding her to splinters. Mines skip her on purpose.
Gold
Spawned automatically from Ports (no build cost). Completing a run pays both harbors; longer trips pay more. Short hops are worth less.
Trade stops
Attacking (or being attacked) pauses trade for 5 minutes, unless you become allies. You can also Stop / Start trading by hand.
Piracy
Capture with a Warship or Marauder and the gold walks to the captor. Twenty-five captures help a Warship earn a rank.

In the game

Build more Ports if you want more white sails. Guard your lanes with Warships, or hunt the other captain's convoy and live off their ledger. A silent harbor usually means someone is at war — or someone stole the fleet. Naval mines ignore traders on purpose.
